About
Since 2014, we have helped thousands of people buy, sell and transfer property in Victoria, led by our founder Kate Ashmor.
Experience counts
Kate has nearly twenty years of broad and diverse experience as a lawyer, including in commercial private practice, at Victorian State Government departments and agencies, and in-house within the banking and finance sector. She chaired the board of Caulfield Park Bendigo Bank for four years, is a Past Convenor of Victorian Women Lawyers, a Past President of Australian Women Lawyers, and she has previously served as an elected Councillor for the City of Glen Eira.
Since founding Ashmor Legal in 2014, Kate and her team have reviewed tens of thousands of Victorian property contracts and acted for thousands of diverse clients around the world. Kate is highly regarded for her attention to detail, her broad knowledge of Victorian real estate, local government, federal and State politics, and her genuine care for her clients: "There are no silly questions!".
Kate holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Politics) degrees from Monash University, and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
And her coffee order is: "Almond sticky chai with honey, please!"
